President Bola Tinubu asserted his claim to a place in the Guinness World Records for the reforms initiated since he assumed office on May 29, 2023. Reflecting on his tenure as the governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007, Tinubu emphasized his role in transforming the state from zero to the fifth-largest economy on the continent.
He pointed to his extensive track record as preparation for the presidency, addressing an audience at the 10th German-Nigerian Business Forum in Berlin, Germany.
Speaking directly to those apprehensive about potential obstacles, Tinubu highlighted his background in the private sector, emphasizing his training at Deloitte and his tenure as the Treasurer of Exxon Mobil.

He underscored his commitment to corporate governance and proudly noted that Lagos State, under his governance, had ascended to the position of the fifth-largest economy in Africa.

Tinubu’s remarks followed the signing of two significant agreements between Nigerian and German companies in Berlin.
