Multichoice Nigeria, the operators of DStv and GOtv, have announced a second price adjustment for their packages in 2023, resulting in increases of at least 19% across all bouquets. These revised prices came into effect on November 6, 2023, a mere five months after the last pricing revision.
In a communication to its subscribers, Multichoice attributed this latest price hike to escalating costs in various facets of its operations, including content acquisition, infrastructure maintenance, and operational expenses. The company also cited the prevailing economic challenges in Nigeria, such as high inflation and a weakened Naira, as contributing factors.

The updated prices for DStv packages are as follows:
- Premium: N29,500 (+20%)
- Compact+: N19,800 (+19%)
- Compact: N12,500 (+19%)
- Confam: N7,400 (+19%)
- Yanga: N4,200 (+20%)
Similarly, the revised prices for GOtv packages are:
- Supa Plus: N12,500 (+19%)
- Supa: N7,600 (+19%)
- Max: N5,700 (+19%)
- Jolli: N3,950 (+19%)
- Jinja: N2,700 (+20%)
It is noteworthy that Multichoice recently reported a $72 million deficit in its third-quarter financial statement, just before implementing the latest increases in DStv subscription fees.
