Fans have criticized Kylie Jenner for “normalizing animal cruelty” after she sported a dress at Paris Fashion Week featuring a life-size fake lion’s head.
The controversial outfit was worn by the reality star to the Schiaparelli Haute Couture show today (Monday, January 23), and was widely panned for its depiction of a lion’s head.
Kylie described the lion head as a “faux art creation constructed by hand using manmade materials” in an Instagram post, but that didn’t stop fans from saying it was distasteful.

Almost immediately, Kylie’s passionate fanbase took to social media to discuss the polarizing garment.
One commenter under Kylie’s post said, “Glorifying animal hunting is not the one.”
A second person commented, “It’s heartbreaking to see people in positions of power normalizing animal cruelty.”
On social media, one person commented, “The world today has only 20,000 lions,” calling her attire “grave insensitivity towards a critical animal.”
Somebody else chimed in with “One user commented, “Are you okay? This is literally promoting more hunting of animals.”

Kylie said “beautiful beautiful” with a heart emoji in the caption, reiterating her approval of the outfit.
As of this writing, she has not responded to the criticism head-on.
