MTN Nigeria Plc announced the impending execution of its planned allotment of incentive shares to qualified shareholders who participated in the company’s initial public offering.
As seen on the Nigerian Exchange Limited, this was contained in a corporate disclosure signed by Company Secretary Uto Ukpanah.
How to Apply:
To be eligible for incentive shares, shareholders must meet three key conditions:
Purchase at least 20 ordinary shares of the offer and receive them.
Holding some or all of the shares allotted in the offer as of the qualification date of January 31, 2023, but only if you own at least 20 ordinary shares.
At the time of qualification, the name must be on the register of members.
After the qualification date and after obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals, qualified shareholders will have their incentive shares credited to their CSCS accounts.
In the past
On January 31, 2022, the offer to sell 575 million ordinary shares of MTN Nigeria was completed.
The terms of the offer included a bonus of one ordinary share for every twenty ordinary shares purchased, with a maximum allocation of 250 ordinary shares.
The incentive shares will be distributed to qualified shareholders who participated in the offer and held all or a portion of their offers continuously from January 31, 2022, to January 31, 2023.
